Founder Laurie Adams grew up in a small Canadian fishing village, and after finding that mud was healthy for her skin, she came home with a saltwater, mud, and seaweed concoction plastered on her face. The simplicity of skincare was an interest that would blossom. In later years, she left her teaching job to work as the lead esthetician at Ohm Spa.
She had found her calling- but then something came to shake her world up. Her diagnosis with cancer called for a reevaluation of her career path, and after beating cancer, she became obsessed with holistic skincare. On her website, she states, “Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies, and we must actively choose what we put on it…I choose nature. I choose healing.”
